The Orcas secured four points out of a possible 6 in a weekend where they redeemed themselves following their previous visit to the city. It was a good outing for Adaka “Saimo” Kilaini and Mariano “Mea” Emadau as they scored vital goals on the road.
Starting out 8th on the Super League Mens Standings, MSC Orcas embarked on a 6pt hunt on the weekend of 17-18th June 2023. Playing against Multimedia University and Kisumu Youngsters at the aforementioned dates at 1500 hrs and 1000 hrs respectively.
Against Multimedia they suffered a shock lead by Multimedia within the first half, before former Captain Mea equalised via a penalty corner to make it 1-all. With the goal signifying a change in tide, Striker Adaka was at hand to capitalise on a quick counter attack pass from the defence courtesy of Teddy “Grandpa” Odada that led to a 1-v-1 with the MMU goalkeeper and Adaka getting the better of him. A penalty stroke, having been fouled in the penalty area, which he diligently converted to make it 2-1.
Later on, to kill the game off Adaka got his brace to make it 3-1 in favour of MSC Orcas.
