MSC Men continued their imperious run at the top of the National Hockey League with a dominant showing this past weekend, registering two convincing victories to move eight points clear at the summit of the standings, 2-1 against UON Cubs and 2-0 against Technical Uni of Kenya

With the league entering a decisive phase, MSC once again demonstrated why they remain the team to beat. Inspired by a brace from Kevin Ayako, and driven by the energy of a new breed of emerging players, in Kevin Nyalala and Edwin Akola the coastal giants delivered performances full of discipline, and attacking intent.

The weekend fixtures showcased not only the depth within the MSC squad subject to the absence of some players, but also the seamless blend of experience and youthful hunger. The midfield with James Rianga, Tony Simiyu and Mariano Emadau played with confidence, the defensive unit remained resolute under pressure, and the forward line did their best to convert chances —an all-round display that left little doubt about MSC’s ambitions.

With these two victories, MSC now sit comfortably at the top of the league, boasting one of the strongest goal differences and the most consistent form this season. Their latest results not only extend their lead but also send a strong message to their closest challengers as the race for the title intensifies.

As the league marches on, MSC will look to maintain momentum, sharpen their edge, and continue building on a season that is shaping up to be one of their finest in recent years.

On the other hand, our sister team MSC Ladies, are struggling for form this season and were on the other side of town playing against KU Ladies where they lost to their direct competitors in the relegation battle.
